2 metre stove fire rope seal kit with high temperature adhesive and thermal end sealing tape. Used to replace worn, flattened, loose, or leaking rope seals around stove doors, glass frames, and access panels on wood burning stoves, multi-fuel stoves, log burners, and fireplaces.

A failing door rope seal can allow excess air into the stove, making the fire harder to control and reducing efficiency. In worse cases, a poor seal can also allow smoke or fumes to escape into the room. Replacing the rope seal helps the stove door close firmly again and restores the proper seal around the appliance.

Choose the correct diameter and colour from the dropdown before ordering. If replacing an existing seal, measure the old rope before removal where possible. If the old rope is badly flattened, also measure the channel or groove it sits in to confirm the correct size.

For best results, remove the old rope and adhesive, clean the channel thoroughly, apply a thin bead of stove rope adhesive, press the new rope into place, and allow the adhesive to cure before lighting the stove. Cut the rope to length and use the supplied thermal end sealing tape to help keep the cut ends neat and prevent fraying.
