The baffle plate in the Hi-Flame Alpha 3 stove is a heavy cast iron throat plate that sits above the firebox, directing combustion gases across the chamber to maximise heat extraction before they exit via the flue. The Alpha 3's larger output means its baffle plate is heavier and experiences more thermal stress than smaller models, making periodic replacement important. This part is made to the original Alpha 3 specification.
