The front fire fence on the Hi-Flame Alpha 1 sits inside the firebox and prevents logs or fuel from rolling forward against the glass or door. Without a fire fence, fuel can press directly against the glass during burning, which accelerates glass clouding and risks cracking the panel. This cast iron replacement fits the Alpha 1 firebox to the original specification.
