The rear brick (also called the back brick) lines the back of the firebox on the Hi-Flame Alpha Inset stove (AL357i). It reflects heat forward into the room and protects the steel body from direct flame contact. Replace it when cracking or crumbling reduces heat efficiency or risks further firebox damage.
