The door rope seal on the Hi-Flame Alpha Inset runs around the inner frame of the stove door, creating an airtight contact between the door and the body when the latch is closed. Once the rope flattens or crumbles, uncontrolled air enters the firebox, causing the stove to overfire and smoke to escape into the room. This kit contains everything needed to replace the seal in one job.
