Black grate polish is a wax-based compound for restoring the matt black finish on cast iron stove parts, grates, and fireplace surrounds. It covers light surface rust, burn marks and fading, leaving a smooth protective finish that slows further oxidation. This 75ml tube is enough for multiple applications on a typical stove or grate.

Cast iron is susceptible to surface oxidation if left untreated, particularly during off-season storage or in damp conditions. Regular application of grate polish keeps the surface protected and looking presentable.
