This complete fire brick set contains all the vermiculite liners needed to re-line the firebox of the Blacksmith Artisan stove. Vermiculite bricks insulate the steel body from direct flame contact, improving combustion temperature and protecting the stove from heat damage over time. Replace the full set when any brick is cracked deeply enough to expose the stove body behind it.

Vermiculite bricks are designed to absorb and radiate heat while keeping the stove body cool. Surface cracking is normal and does not require immediate replacement, but deep cracks that reach through the full thickness of the brick do. Buying a complete set ensures all sides of the firebox are replaced at the same time, maintaining consistent insulation throughout.
