The grate frame for the Blacksmith Artisan (non-boiler) is the cast iron carrier structure that supports the inner grate inside the firebox. It holds the fuel bed at the correct height to allow primary air in from below while keeping ash clear of the burn zone. This part may need replacing after prolonged use at high temperatures.
