Blacksmith Artisan Non-Boiler Baffle Plate

The baffle plate for the Blacksmith Artisan (non-boiler) stove deflects combustion gases back across the firebox before they exit through the flue. This secondary pass through the chamber raises the gas temperature enough to burn off unspent fuel particles, reducing smoke and increasing heat output. Cast iron baffles degrade with use and should be inspected regularly for cracks.
