The Blacksmith Harness Riddling Grate is the cast iron grate assembly for the Blacksmith Harness stove, used to shake ash from the fire bed into the ash pan below. Riddling grates wear out over time from the combination of heat and mechanical stress, eventually burning through or bending beyond use.

The riddling grate sits at the base of the firebox and allows the user to drop ash through by rocking the grate from the outside. A worn or broken grate makes ash removal difficult and can affect the airflow needed for efficient combustion. Clean and remove all inner parts before fitting the replacement.
