The baffle (also known as a throat plate or deflector plate) helps direct heat and flue gases back into the firebox, improving burn efficiency and reducing fuel waste. The 30mm thick vermiculite bricks offer excellent insulation, protecting the stove’s internal body and maintaining consistent heat retention.
