Fitting notes (quick guide)
Remove the old rope and scrape out any remaining cement/adhesive. Vacuum the channel clean.
Dry-lay the new rope around the channel without stretching it; mark and cut to length.
Tape the rope ends to prevent fraying, then apply a thin, even bead of adhesive in the channel.
Press the rope in firmly all the way round, join the ends neatly, and close the door for a couple of hours to set.
Do a paper-strip test: close the door on a slip of paper—mild resistance all around means a good seal (adjust latch tension if needed).
