Fire cement is used to seal joints and repair cracks in stoves, flue pipes, fireplaces, and boilers. It bonds to firebrick, masonry, blockwork, and clay, creating a smoke-tight seal that holds up under repeated heating and cooling cycles. Replace or top up the cement when cracks appear around seams or where components join.

Apply directly from the tub with a trowel or spatula to a clean dry surface. Allow to air dry before the first firing, then cure gradually over several hours. Minor cracking after the initial firing is normal — a second application resolves this.
