The flue blanking plate is used to seal the unused flue outlet on the Olymberyl Gabriel. Where the stove offers both top and rear flue connections, one must be sealed off with a blanking plate while the other is connected to the chimney. A damaged or missing plate allows flue gases to escape through the wrong opening, which is both inefficient and potentially dangerous.

A correctly installed blanking plate ensures all flue gases travel through the intended outlet and into the chimney system. Without it, draw is reduced, combustion suffers, and carbon monoxide risk increases. Replace immediately if the existing plate is cracked or warped.
