The back plate for the Hi-Flame Graphite 5 is a cast iron rear fire brick that lines the back of the firebox. It protects the stove body from direct flame and radiated heat, and should be replaced if it cracks or crumbles during normal use. This is the correct rear back plate for the Graphite 5 stove.
