The upper baffle plate for the Hi-Flame Graphite 5902 fits at the top of the firebox to control flue gas flow and improve heat output. This is a steel component that is exposed to high temperatures every time the stove is used, and gradual warping or cracking is normal wear. Replacing it is one of the most effective ways to restore efficiency to an ageing stove.
