The boiler grate frame for the Hi-Flame Graphite Inset Boiler forms the structural base of the firebox in the boiler variant of this stove. It holds the fuel bed and allows ash to fall through to the ashpan, while also supporting correct air distribution beneath the fire. Cast iron grate frames wear over time and should be replaced when cracked or structurally compromised.
