The grate rod (also called the riddling rod or centre grate rod) connects the riddling mechanism to the grate on the Hamco Glendine stove, allowing you to break up and drop ash through the bars without opening the door. If the rod bends, snaps, or corrodes, riddling the grate becomes impossible and ash builds up rapidly. This is the correct factory replacement for the Glendine.
