The glass seal on the Henley Aran stove sits between the ceramic glass and the door frame, creating an airtight joint that prevents hot gases from escaping around the glass edge. When this seal deteriorates, combustion gases can leak past the glass, causing discolouration of the surround and reducing draw efficiency. This kit contains flat fibreglass rope, thermic adhesive, and sealing tape to complete the replacement.

The glass seal is separate from the door rope seal and specifically designed for the narrower channel around the glass panel. Replacing it when worn keeps the airwash system working correctly, which in turn helps keep the glass cleaner during normal use.
