The riddling grate for the Henley Aran is the cast iron inner grate that sits within the grate frame and allows ash to fall through into the pan below. Known also as the centre grate, it takes the most direct thermal stress in the stove and is prone to cracking over time, particularly with heavy use or if the stove is run very hot. Replacing it restores proper ash clearance and airflow through the fuel bed.
