The front fire brick set for the Henley Blasket replaces the forward-facing firebox panels that sit beneath the fire fence. These bricks are exposed to intense radiant heat during every burn, and surface cracking is normal over time. Replacing them restores the firebox's insulating properties and protects the stove body.

The front bricks on the Blasket work alongside the fire fence to contain the fuel bed and direct heat upward into the flue. When they degrade, heat distribution becomes uneven and the stove's efficiency drops. Swap them out when you see deep cracks or chunks breaking away.
