The rear fire brick for the Henley Blasket fits the back wall of the firebox and protects it from direct flame impingement. Rear bricks absorb radiant heat from the fire and reflect it back into the combustion zone, improving burn temperatures and fuel use. Replace when the brick shows deep cracking or starts to break apart.
