The riddling grate in the Henley Skellig stove sits at the base of the firebox, supporting the fuel load and allowing ash to fall through into the ash pan. It can be rotated to shake ash clear, keeping the fire burning cleanly. Cast iron grates wear and crack with sustained high-temperature use and need periodic replacement to maintain reliable performance.
