The grate frame on the Hi-Flame Graphite 5 is the outer cast iron carrier that holds the inner grate in position and provides the structural base for the fuel bed. It is a long-lived component but will eventually warp or crack under sustained thermal cycling. Replacing a distorted frame restores correct grate alignment and even primary airflow.

The grate frame keeps the inner grate level and properly seated so that fuel sits correctly and ash falls through cleanly. A warped frame causes the grate to rock or sit at an angle, which disrupts air distribution and burn consistency. This part is made to the original Graphite 5 specification.
