The baffle plate for the Hi-Flame Precision II fits across the top of the firebox, deflecting combustion gases back through the fire to improve heat retention and secondary combustion. The Precision II is an 8kW multi-fuel stove, and the baffle is sized accordingly, making it a heavier component than those found in smaller models. Replace when cracked, warped, or when the stove's output drops noticeably.

The baffle plate is critical to the Precision II achieving its rated output.
