The fire fence for the Horse Flame Baldemar is a cast iron bar that spans the front of the firebox, holding the fuel bed in position and directing primary air through the grate. It is a wear item that should be checked regularly on older stoves, as warping or cracking reduces combustion airflow and heat output. Horse Flame stoves are discontinued but replacement parts are available.
