This is the inner riddling grate for the Horse Flame Elessar. It is the circular inner grate that sits within the carrier frame and connects to the riddling rod beneath the stove. Rotating the grate shakes ash down through the bars so it falls into the ash pan without disturbing the fire above.

The riddling grate keeps the ash pan emptying regularly without manual disturbance of the fire bed. When the arms become worn or broken the riddling mechanism fails, ash builds up, and airflow through the fuel bed is restricted. Fitting a replacement grate restores clean ash clearance and efficient burning.
