The baffle plate on your Horse Flame Yarrman boiler stove sits above the firebox, slowing the escape of hot gases up the flue and directing heat back into the room. Also called a throat plate, it takes constant heat stress and can crack or warp over time, reducing your stove's efficiency. Replacing it restores proper combustion control and protects the boiler components from excessive heat.
