The side brick retainer for the Olymberyl Baby Gabriel holds the side fire bricks securely in position within the firebox. Without the retainer, bricks can shift or fall during use, exposing the stove body to direct radiant heat and shortening its working life. This steel bracket is a simple but important part of the firebox assembly.

Fit the retainer with the stove cool and the firebox empty. It clips into position to hold the upper edge of the side bricks in place. If you are replacing the side bricks at the same time, fit the retainer after the bricks are positioned correctly.
