The rear fire brick for the Olymberyl Gabriel lines the back of the firebox and faces the flame directly. It is the most heat-exposed brick position on the stove and the most frequently replaced. Fit a new one as soon as cracking appears to prevent damage to the back wall.

Vermiculite rear bricks insulate the back wall and reflect heat forward into the firebox, which improves combustion efficiency. This replacement is precision-cut to fit the Gabriel without adjustment and is ready to install without specialist tools.
