The side fire bricks in the Olymberyl Maximus line the walls of the firebox, shielding the stove's steel bodywork from direct flame contact. Over time, vermiculite bricks crack and crumble from repeated thermal cycling, and replacing them before they fail keeps the firebox structure intact. This set is precision-cut to fit the Maximus firebox without trimming.
