The grate frame for the Hi-Flame Precision I is the cast iron base structure that locates the inner grate and manages ash fall-through into the ashpan. It plays a key role in controlling underfire air supply. Grate frames on regularly used stoves should be checked each season and replaced if cracked or deformed.

The grate frame provides the geometry that controls how air passes beneath the fuel bed. A broken frame allows uncontrolled air ingress, which disrupts combustion balance and makes burn rate difficult to manage. This is a direct-fit replacement for the original HF905 grate frame.
