The baffle plate, also called the throat plate, sits above the fire in your Hi-Flame Precision III stove and redirects hot combustion gases back through the firebox before they exit up the flue. This increases heat extraction from each burn and supports secondary combustion. Baffle plates wear down with sustained use and should be checked regularly for cracks or warping.

A deteriorating baffle plate allows hot gases to escape too quickly, reducing heat output and placing extra stress on the flue. This replacement part is made to the original specification for the HF910 non-boiler model and can be removed by lifting out the fire fence, raising the plate, and tilting it to the side. Straightforward to fit, no specialist tools required.
