The side bricks for the Hi-Flame Precision Inset are vermiculite liners that protect the left and right walls of the firebox from direct contact with the flame. They also retain heat within the combustion chamber, which helps the stove reach and maintain its operating temperature more efficiently. This part number covers the side brick pair only; the rear brick is sold separately.
