    Replace the baffle plate (throat plate) in your Stovax Brunel 1 or Brunel 1A with this direct-fit part (Stovax reference BR24). The baffle spans the top of the firebox, slowing flue gases and directing heat out into the room. The Brunel 1A's compact firebox concentrates heat on the baffle — it will crack or distort over time and is one of the most commonly replaced parts on this stove.
